Your Public Partner
for Broadband Access

Welcome to NoaNet

NoaNet is a non-profit telecommunications organization owned by public utilities, operating as a public benefit entity with a mission to enhance broadband and telecom services in Washington State and the Pacific Northwest. As a non-profit entity, our primary focus is on supporting the development of broadband infrastructure to bridge the digital divide and bring the advantages of advanced connectivity to rural communities throughout the region.

We are a Mission Driven organization

1

Open Access

Our open-access network is available on a non-discriminatory basis for competing businesses and service providers to deliver high-capacity broadband and voice services.
2

Public Benefit Broadband Networks

Community by community, NoaNet provides leading-edge solutions to expand broadband access in telemedicine, agriculture, education, public safety, and support rural economic development opportunities. We are committed to our service providers to deliver the best in industry broadband and over-the-top solutions to benefit their business and customers.
3

Owned by Rural Public Utility Districts

Public Utility Districts are not-for-profit community-owned utilities that provide electric, water, sewer, and wholesale telecommunications services to customers across Washington State. Like our owners, NoaNet is committed to excellent hometown customer service.
4

A Non-Profit Provider

All revenues from selling wholesale services in the open market are put back into the network to fund our mission and ensure fiscal sustainability. NoaNet does not collect tax dollars or subsidies from water or electrical ratepayers.
5

Public Safety Network

Next Generation 911 services are delivered over our statewide highly reliable emergency communications dispatch network. This represents a vital step in addressing the urgent need to improve communications for Washington State’s public safety agencies.

Our Story

NoaNet, originally founded by Washington State’s Public Utility Districts (PUDs), has a steadfast mission: to deliver high-speed telecommunication services to communities that were once without access. Today, we remain committed to pioneering innovative solutions that close the digital divide and foster the growth and prosperity of communities through widespread broadband access.

It all comes back to the people

We firmly acknowledge that broadband is now an essential utility, akin to the indispensable services that preceded it. We firmly believe that every community should have access to this utility, as it significantly enhances quality of life, impacting areas such as health, safety, business, and education. We understand the profound impact this has at the individual level, where access has the power to transform lives. These values drive our organization forward to advocate for Washington’s communities.
